Meet Yu
Yoga Teacher | Documentary Storyteller | Guide for the Inner Journey
What happens when you stop trying to control the river—and start flowing with it instead?
Yu spent years traveling the world as a documentary filmmaker, chasing answers and asking why? about everything she encountered. But the most profound discoveries, she found, came not from searching—but from surrender.
Over a decade ago, Yu made a quiet pivot: she turned her attention inward. Instead of exploring far-off landscapes, she began to explore the one within—through meditation, yoga, and spiritual study. She learned one of life’s most tender truths: that sometimes the deepest healing comes when we stop resisting the current and trust it to carry us.
That current brought her to White Rock, BC—where, just steps from her new home, she stumbled upon a yoga school. Synchronicity had arrived with a smile. Nearly 20 years earlier, Yu had experienced something inexplicable at a yoga workshop—a moment that cracked open her perception of what’s possible. Now, the spiral of life had brought her back to that very threshold. This time, she stepped in fully.
Here’s what Yu offers for your practice:
🌙 She honors the mystery.
Yu doesn’t try to explain away the unexplainable. Her classes hold space for what can’t be named—the soft, sacred shifts that happen when we move, breathe, and listen deeply. You don’t have to understand it. You just have to show up.
❓ She meets you in the questions.
As a former documentarian, Yu knows how to stay with inquiry—not rush to resolve it. In her classes, curiosity is welcome, and you’ll be invited to explore your own unfolding with patience and presence.
🌀 She trusts life’s perfect timing.
Yu’s path to teaching yoga wasn’t mapped—it emerged. She teaches with that same trust in the process, helping you remember that sometimes the most important things happen not by force, but by flow.
🤲 She’s here to serve, not to lead.
After years of seeking, Yu’s practice now centers on service. Her role isn’t to give you answers—it’s to hold space for your own discovery. You’ll feel her presence as a guide walking beside you, not ahead of you.
When you practice with Yu, you’re entering a space of stillness, reverence, and quiet transformation.
A space where effort softens… and something deeper begins to move.
Ready to stop searching and start flowing?
Yu will help you find your way in.
