If you are new to aerial yoga or unsure if your child will enjoy it, we suggest attending one of our monthly drop in classes or workshops. This will give you a good introduction and opportunity to test the waters, before committing to a progressive series.
As for progressive series’, we allow a one-time drop in class on the first OR second week of each series commence, should there be space available. Please email kailey@westcoasthotyoga.ca to confirm.
Should your child wish to continue for the remainder of the series, we will use the purchase of the drop-in as a credit towards the full program cost.

By age 6, children are introduced to classroom settings and are used to following instructions and listening carefully to details.
Due to the nature of Aerial, it is important children can focus their attention for an extended period of time and be body aware enough, to ensure safety in the air while practicing.
For this reason, we advise that children wait until they are age 6 to join class.
Exceptions can be made on an individual basis, with previous experience and training. Please email kailey@westcoasthotyoga.ca to discuss.

I require all students begin at level 1. There are yoga foundations and safety fundamentals I require they learn, as well as, proper technique for how to move in an out of postures and inversions correctly.
Many kids who have silks at home or have done silks via gymnastics, have created their own or different habits and steps, which takes time to adjust to yoga technique.
-
We have many kids enrolled, who have taken or experience aerial silks in the past.
We offer aerial YOGA— as oppose to— aerial silks, which is gymnastics based.
While the kids learn tricks and sequencing, the foundations are yoga — not acrobatics.
Mindfulness, meditation and yoga are the focus while using the silks to facilitate awareness and growth for mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
-
Parent Viewing is welcome in the final class of each series. Throughout the remainder of weeks, parents are asked to drop off and pick up at class finish.
-
Missed classes are at the cost of the individual. Make up classes are not offered for aerial programming.
In progressive series, the most important weeks for foundations and safety are the first 2 weeks. If children are away for any reason, they can make it up by purchasing a private session.
-
Cancellations are not offered for aerial programming. We ask all clients to carefully consider their needs, review program inclusions and ask questions prior to registering.
Should you be unable to attend for any reason, including illness, you may gift your registration to a family or friend.
If insufficient numbers are booked into your program, we may have to cancel the session. In this instance you will be offered a spot in another session, or offered a full refund.
